In conjunction with Reefnet, Cindaq is able to provide low cost temperature and depth sensors to those interested in playing an important role in the collection and distribution of baseline underwater data. Divers, diving groups or other interested individuals are invited to “adopt” a sensor. Ideally an adopted sensor will be installed, removed, downloaded and re-installed during subsequent visits to this area or these tasks can be delegated to others visiting the area. Scientists have and will be consulted in order to properly place these sensors in relevant locations.
The “owner” of the sensor will be advertised online with the installed sensor globally positioned on Google Earth. Subsequent data collected will be accessible online.
Cost is US$98 per sensor. To adopt your sensor contact info @ cindaq.org
